The Little Theatre is a registered charity and is an organisation run entirely by our members. Although we have an executive committee, we rely on all members to assist with the maintenance of the theatre and the staging of each show. Once a member, you will be placed on the rota for front-of-house duties of any show you are not involved with, and may also be asked to spare a couple of hours to help clean the theatre on the Sunday before and after a show – it is quite common to be performing on stage one night and hoovering the auditorium the next morning, but we’re all in this together!! We also have three ‘work sessions’ each summer where members are asked to help at one of the sessions to do small maintenance jobs around the theatre.
There are usually 4 shows a year, and below is a typical timetable of a year at The Little Theatre.
Auditions - Early October
Rehearsals - Monday and Wednesday
Performances - Last two weekends in January

So if you want to get involved or require more information please contact our Membership Secretary (firstname.lastname@example.org) to get involved or simply come down to meet us at any of the Read Through dates. Everyone is welcome!
Please note that to audition, you must be a member of our society.
Minimum age to get involved with Pantomime is 10 years old, other productions and backstage is 16 years unless the production calls for a younger part.
