All Shook Up
Set in a small American town, All Shook Up gives a contemporary spin on the 1950s — a time of poodle skirts, jukeboxes, and rock ’n’ roll rebellion. When a leather-jacketed, guitar-playing stranger rides into town, he shakes up everyone’s lives — and hearts — with his love of music and freedom. Soon the town is turned upside down as love triangles, mistaken identities, and plenty of dancing break out. Inspired by the songs of Elvis Presley, All Shook Up is a feel-good jukebox musical featuring classics like Jailhouse Rock, Heartbreak Hotel, and Can’t Help Falling in Love. Packed with laughter, romance, and timeless tunes, it’s a vibrant celebration of love, individuality, and the power of rock ’n’ roll.
Agatha Crusty and the Village Hall Murders
When crime writer Agatha Crusty (pronounced Croosty!) visits her sister in the quaint village of Chortleby, she expects nothing more than a quiet stay. Instead, she finds herself in the middle of a murder mystery with the local amateur dramatic society — and the bodies start piling up!
With the bumbling but well-meaning Inspector Twigg on the case, Agatha’s sharp mind and knack for spotting clues are soon put to the test. Packed with eccentric villagers, witty dialogue, and plenty of red herrings, this comedy play keeps audiences laughing as they try to untangle the mystery.
Lest We Forget: A VE 80 Celebration
Marking 80 years since Victory in Europe, this original commemorative evening combined music, memories, and wartime stories. Told through the eyes of ‘Granny’ looking back with her grandchildren, the show featured nostalgic songs, moving reflections, and guest sketches from The Belfrey Theatre’s Dad’s Army cast — all in support of local veterans’ charities.
Ladies' Day
When four fish factory workers from Hull decide to swap hairnets for hats and head to Royal Ascot — the year it’s held in York — their day out turns into more than just a flutter on the horses. Champagne flows, secrets spill, and friendships are tested in this heartfelt comedy full of laughs, charm, and northern grit.
Rapunzel
This lively pantomime reimagined the classic fairytale with plenty of laughter, adventure, and audience participation. Locked away in a tower by the wicked Mother Gothel, Rapunzel dreams of exploring the world beyond her window. When the daring Prince Ryder stumbles upon her prison, he vows to help her escape—but they’ll need the help of the bumbling comedy duo Paz and Cal, the magical Fairy Dandruff, and the larger-than-life Dame Fanny Follicle. With catchy songs, hilarious antics, and a battle of wits against the scheming Mother Gothel, Rapunzel was a fantastic family adventure filled with magic, mischief, and happily-ever-afters!
The Wizard of Oz
This adaptation closely follows the iconic 1939 MGM film, bringing L. Frank Baum’s beloved tale to life with familiar songs and characters. After a twister sweeps young Dorothy Gale from Kansas to the enchanting land of Oz, she embarks on a journey down the Yellow Brick Road with her loyal dog, Toto, in search of the Wizard who can help her return home. Along the way, she meets the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion, each with their own heartfelt wish for the Wizard. Together, they face trials from the Wicked Witch of the West, discovering courage, love, and the true meaning of friendship in this timeless adventure.
